February 27-28, 2026: TRINON CROUCH RETROSPECTIVE
Featuring oil landscape paintings by Trinon Crouch and new ceramic sculptures by Kerry Kirkpatrick.
TRINON CROUCH is among the greatest and accomplished landscape painters in Santa Fe and we were delighted to present a retrospective of his work for public view. He has been living and painting in Northern New Mexico since 1982. He is known for his ability to capture the unique cast of light famous to the Santa Fe area through his impressionistic landscape oils.
“I am a hunter of light and weather conditions. I love paintings that express mood. Often a sense of mood or atmosphere in a scene is created by a condition of weather or changing light. I don’t think of abstraction in terms of a certain period of art history. For me, abstraction is a natural element I see in nature. I think true originality can be reflected in a way one paints and one’s uniqueness and that is the kind of originality I strive for.” — From the documentary film TRINON CROUCH: ARTIST AT WORK directed by Matt Shultz.
